We follow a trauma-informed care approach that recognizes and understands the impact of trauma on an individual’s life. We strive to create a safe, supportive environment where individuals feel respected and empowered.

In trauma-informed care, professionals are trained to be aware of how trauma can affect a person’s behavior, emotions, and interactions, and they tailor their services to avoid re-traumatizing individuals. The goal is to build trust, promote healing, and support recovery by recognizing the individual’s experiences and offering care that is sensitive, compassionate, and patient-centered.

We deliver these services in several ways that vary from program to program. Most are delivered in-person through counseling, case management, or group activities. In limited cases, we include virtual services as well.

In general, we provide services for a wide range of ages. However, not all services are available for people in every age category. Please call us with specific questions, and we will be glad to give you more information.

FAQ: Treatment and Therapy

Yes, our treatments are evidence-based. At Andrews Behavioral Health, we are committed to providing care that is grounded in the latest scientific research and proven methodologies. Our team carefully selects therapeutic approaches and interventions that have demonstrated success in helping individuals navigate their mental health challenges. By combining evidence-based practices with personalized care, we strive to offer effective, compassionate, and tailored solutions that support our clients in achieving their goals.

Peer support services are a unique form of care provided by individuals who have personally experienced mental health challenges or substance use recovery. At Andrews Behavioral Health, these trained peers offer understanding, encouragement, and guidance from a place of lived experience. By sharing their own journeys and providing emotional support, peer specialists help others feel less isolated and more empowered to navigate their challenges. Peer support complements clinical care by fostering hope, resilience, and a sense of community, helping individuals move forward on their path to wellness.

At Andrews Behavioral Health, success is determined collaboratively. Together with our clients, we set personalized goals at the beginning of treatment. These goals may include improved mood, reduced symptoms, better coping strategies, stronger relationships, or enhanced daily functioning.

Throughout the process, we regularly assess progress using evidence-based tools, feedback, and ongoing conversations. Success looks different for everyone, and we celebrate milestones—big and small—on the journey to lasting wellness. Our ultimate aim is to help clients achieve a meaningful and fulfilling life that aligns with their values and aspirations.

Therapy and case management are complementary services that address different aspects of mental health care.

Therapy focuses on emotional and psychological healing. A licensed therapist works with individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, addressing issues like trauma, anxiety, depression, or relationship challenges. The goal is to develop coping skills, self-awareness, and strategies for long-term emotional wellness.

Case management focuses on practical support and connecting individuals with resources. A case manager helps clients navigate systems like healthcare, housing, employment, or financial assistance, ensuring they have access to the tools and services they need to thrive.

At Andrews Behavioral Health, therapy helps you process and grow emotionally, while case management ensures your practical needs are met—working together to support your holistic well-being.
